Support young families as they work toward brighter futures. At The Alex House Project, parents participate in job training and workforce development workshops designed to build skills, confidence, and economic opportunity. While parents focus on learning, youth volunteers help create a safe, welcoming, and engaging environment for their children. Volunteers will assist with age-appropriate activities such as reading stories, arts and crafts, games, and imaginative play. By providing attentive childcare and positive role modeling, volunteers help remove a barrier that can prevent parents from accessing educational and career opportunities. This is a meaningful opportunity for young people to support both children and parents while building empathy, leadership, and communication skills.
