About the event

Help fight food insecurity in North Brooklyn by supporting the incredible work of North Brooklyn Angels. Volunteers will work in the North Brooklyn Angels kitchen, packing freshly prepared meals that will be distributed through community fridges across the neighborhood. In addition to meal packing, volunteers may assist with a variety of kitchen and food distribution tasks, including organizing supplies, preparing ingredients, labeling meals, and helping the team get ready for deliveries. Every shift looks a little different, but each one plays an important role in ensuring that nutritious food reaches neighbors who need it most. This hands-on opportunity is a great way to learn about community-based food access efforts while making a direct and tangible impact in the fight against hunger.
