Join us for a hands-on Lego Sort dedicated to packaging custom Lego kits for local children in need. Founded by two siblings who wanted to share the joy of their own Lego collection, Brick by Brick collects previously loved bricks and redistributes them to underserved youth. At this event, our goal is to assemble and pack unique Lego kits—complete with sample builds and extra bricks—to bring creativity and fun to local kids in need. Volunteers of all ages welcome! We will sort Legos by color and type, and package them to bring creativity and joy to the next builders! DAY-OF INSTRUCTIONS FOR VOLUNTEERS: Volunteers should arrive by 10:00am at St. Ann and the Holy Trinity Church, 157 Montague St., Brooklyn Heights. Please enter through the Montague Street entrance. This door is between the stoop of Wunderbar Pilates and the R subway entrance. We will be working just through that door in the Parish Hall. Volunteer Leader: Anna, 817.909.2145. Feel free to text or call if you are running late. You can also contact TSC by calling or texting 718.212.7378. If you have Legos you would like to donate, feel free to bring them with you! However, a donation is not necessary, as we already have plenty of Legos to sort. Your job on Saturday will be to sort Legos by color and type and help create care packages for children in need. Each Lego kit that we make will create the necessary parts for an imaginative build--a spaceship, a princess castle, a monster truck, etc. Our partner, Brick by Brick, will be distributing the kits we create with love to the following organizations: New Neighbors Partnership, Children of Promise, and the Arab-American Family Support Center. Please note! ALL VOLUNTEERS will be put to work, both young and old! We will need both kids and parents to actively help us with this hands-on project. We can't wait to work with you!
