We’re looking for high school volunteers, once a month, to deliver meals to the North Brooklyn Mutual Aid Community Fridge at Cooper Park. Our volunteers cook and package nutritious meals on Thursday evening, and on Friday you’ll pick them up and bring them to the fridge, stocking the shelves and making sure everything is clean and cared for. The job takes about an hour, and you can do it anytime between 3 and 5 PM. It’s a simple, meaningful way to help make sure our neighbors facing food insecurity have access to healthy food. The Community Fridge at Cooper Park is a free, open-access fridge for the neighborhood. Stocked by neighbors for neighbors, it helps make sure no one in our community goes without a meal.
