In middle school, Lauren would visit her intellectually disabled neighbor Lisa each week to give her mom a break. It wasn’t work, it was getting to know a person with another way of thinking. Best was going to the Special Olympics and dances! In addition to her work at The Service Collective, Lauren is a visual artist and has worked as a master printmaker.
