Melissa Chua

Board Member

Melissa has worked as an immigration advocate for over a decade, specializing in deportation defense, post-order practice, and asylum. She is currently the Director of the Immigrant Protection Unit at the New York Legal Assistance Group (NYLAG) and an Adjunct Professor at Brooklyn Law School. Her previous experience includes serving as Immigration Director at the International Rescue Committee and as a litigation associate at Paul Weiss. Melissa earned her J.D. magna cum laude from Georgetown University Law Center.
